It’s been two weeks since the students took their midterm examination. Most of the exam papers that I need to mark are written explanation. There are 2 subjects from undergraduate courses (coevolution and bioinformatics) and one graduate course (ecological genetics). What would be the best practical way to mark the exam paper. Each of the question need to be examine one by one for each student. Keywords or concepts will score points for the student whereas misconception or the lack of technical terms will cost them points. Luckily, it’s not the final exam that you have ten days after the examination to submit students’ grade to the office of education affair. For now, I will just need to keep going.

It is near the end of the first academic term, but they just cannot go home without having themselves tested against the final examination. It is not the best system to see how much they have learnt or how well they understood the topics.
Some of the students claim to be able to do the exam with just thier highschool knowledge, but underestimate the final examination might earn you lower grades than you have hoped for.

Some first-year students at Mahidol Salaya will have to take their final examination this week, a week earlier than their lecture courses.
The examination took place at the Science Building 3. All students need to report with the proctors in separate rooms. Once all has been registered, students will be sent into the examination room in groups. Each room will accommodate 28 students. Most of them will be presented with the exam questions, whereas the rest of them will be at the waiting station.
Each station will be allocated 1 minute each. Students will take turn to do all the questions. Most of the examination items were written questions, but some of them were presented in graphics or real objects.
